Photography 2014!
It is my hope that this blog will become active around the first of the year, 2014. My aim is to post some of my photographs throughout the year, hopefully gaining proficiency in the art of photography along the way. I am not a pro, but I hope to become better along the way.
Goals
First, I have not shot a digital photograph in RAW format as yet. I want to learn how to do this. Also, I have barely scratched the surface of editing with Photoshop. I'm considering the use of two editors: Photoshop Elements and Lightroom. I am open to suggestions.
Subjects
What will my photographs be? Mmmmm. I'm not sure. Perhaps this will be the toughest choice for me. I am curious to see what other people shoot, and get new ideas. Night photography interests me, light painting too. But what I'm really interested in doing is showing something in my photos that might not ordinarily be seen. I live in a wonderful rural tapestry, but simply taking pictures of mountains and trees won't do. I want people to see something new in the old. If I am able to show someone something in a new interesting way, that would be great. Mostly, I am interested in sharing my photos with other photographers. Would it be too much to say that I want to be thought provoking?
