The Elk Flat Cow

Every time I drive by the Elk Flat Ranch, Dart sees this cow &
he goes totally ballistic. He believes that a lone cow standing
outside the fence is completely wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Mt. Shasta - No Snow

Click Photo to Enlarge

This is the first time in the 20 years I have lived in Shasta
County that there has been practically no snow on the mountain.
The glacier is completely gone, and just a small patch of snow
remains near the summit.

Lupe' The Kitty

Lupe' is an old kitty. I am pretty sure she is 17 years old. Every
other cat is fearful of Lupe' for some reason. She came from a
feral litter of five.

Hilltop Palms

Hilltop Drive in Redding was an old and ugly street. So Redding
began a beautification project. The wires were removed and placed
underground. New medians were built, and these new palms were
planted in the median. The trees are also lighted. Some locals
objected saying that this made Redding look like Orange County.

Of course, I laughed.
